-Arsenal set sights on AC Milan full-back—

Arsenal are monitoring AC Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio.

The Gunners' current first-choice right-back, Bacary Sagna, is still in negotiations with the club over extending his contract, which expires in the summer.

However, there are fears that he may seek pastures new - and that would leave Wenger in need of a new defender to compete with Carl Jenkinson for the right-back berth.

And the Arsenal boss is thought to be tracking De Sciglio, who has made impressive progress since making his senior debut for Milan against Viktoria Plzen in September 2011.

The 21-year-old made 27 league appearances last term and has already earned eight caps for Italy.-- Camisetas De Italia

AC Milan are understandably keen to keep hold of him and would demand a fee in excess of £10m for the defender, who is under contract until June 2016.
