-Khedira Latest: Arsenal and Chelsea given renewed hope over deal

Arsenal and Chelsea target Sami Khedira will not have his contract renewed by Real Madrid until he lowers his wage demands, according to Marca.

The German star has just one year remaining on his current deal and has been drawing interest from the Premier League duo throughout the summer.

It is reported Khedira wants an increase on his current wages at the Bernabeu, which see him earn around £48,000-a-week.

Khedira was excluded from Real Madrid's European Super Cup win over Sevilla on Tuesday night, adding to speculation he could be leaving the Spanish capital.

If Real were to part with their World Cup winner it is thought they would want at least £20m for him.
